Simplify
Day 20 - Letter S
Today, let’s together step into the letter S, and with it comes a wonderfully liberating invitation.
Simplify.
To reduce complexity and gently strip back the plans, commitments, and expectations that seem to grow louder the closer we get to year’s end.
Somewhere along the way, the final weeks of the year were turned into a full scale performance.
Elaborate plans.
Expansive expectations.
Lists that grow faster than your capacity.
And yet, we introverts know something the world often forgets.
Simplicity is not a downgrade. It is necessity.
It is the quiet refusal to be swept into a rhythm that was never designed with us in mind.
Simplifying is not cutting corners. It is cutting noise.
It is the intentional act of choosing what genuinely matters over what merely fills the calendar. It is stepping back from the seasonal spectacle and deciding that your wellbeing is a non-negotiable. Simplicity allows you to move through December with steadiness rather than strain.
It is not about doing less for the sake of it. It is about doing what is aligned so you do not have to spend January recovering from a month you never actually enjoyed.
So take a moment today and ask yourself:
- What can be made easier without losing meaning?
- Where can you swap elaborate for simply enough?
- Which expectations can be lowered so your shoulders return to their rightful place?
Simplifying is not shrinking your life. It is reclaiming your peace.

Before you head off, look toward tomorrow. We move to the letter T.
Any guesses what our T word might be, especially one that steadies your energy this season?
Quietly, and simply yours,

The Original Flourishing Introvert
